Wine Opener
Posted by Jojo at 9:55 PMMy husband and I like to drink wine when we are together. Sadly the last time he was in town, we only had one glass together. Maybe two...but it was not nearly enough. I know his drink of choice is beer, but he does know how to pick a wine (Thank goodness because I am not good at it). Unfortunately we do not have a nice wine opener like these rogar wine openers. You see, my husband is into function over form. If it works it does not matter what it looks like. I guess that is something that I like about him, but it can sometimes be annoying.
He does not realize that as a woman, I need something with form, not just function. I would love to get something like this champion wine opener. This is something to be proud of, and it looks like you put some thought into entertaining when you bring guests over. I also like the estate wine opener. It just looks so formal.
Well at this time though, I'd rather drink wine than think about wine openers. Having wine means having my husband with me (because I only drink wine with him). I miss you my husband and I can't wait to drink wine with you again!

A Husband Who Beats His Wife is a Coward!
Posted by Jojo at 10:50 PMYes, I said it! Those husbands who beat their wives are nothing but cowards. You guys are naturally stronger than women. Why do you beat them like they have the same strength that you possess?
I got a claim called in today about domestic violence. It was so sad. Her husband beat her until she was bleeding from her ears. I was so hurt while listening to the story. My heart was crying. It got stuck with me. I hope and pray that she is okay. She is in the hospital now for her treatment. I don't know what happened to the husband. He left from the scene. The police investigated. I hope he gets thrown to jail. That is the place where he deserves.

Home Improvement
Posted by Jojo at 7:11 PMMy husband has been working so much. He told me recently that he wants to work more overtime hours since the opportunity is there. He wants us to save some extra money to finish our basement and improve some parts of the house this year. I got excited so I told him it would be fine. I hope I won't be regretting it someday. Other than working longer, he is also away from the kids more which is hard. I hope it is worth it.
Well, we have been dreaming about getting our basement done. Not only will it make the house value higher, it will also add more bedrooms and spaces for us. We have some things that need closets to stay in. We don't have that much but at least they won't be accumulating yucky dust down there. We have been thinking about making a big master bedroom with a big bath (jacuzzi) tub and a walk-in closet in there and also a large entertainment/family room. We would also like to update our windows in the back. We could maybe add vinyl shutters so it would look nicer.
That is just a dream for now. It could turn into reality (I hope and pray) someday.

How A Woman's Brain Works?
Posted by Jojo at 7:11 PMIf you are wondering how a woman's brain works, then here is a simple illustration for you.
Here is how the email got to me:
"Every one of those little blue balls is a thought about something that needs to be done, a decision or a problem that needs to be solved.
A man has only 2 balls and they take up all his thoughts! "

Excited
Posted by Jojo at 11:54 PMMy husband had a job interview earlier this afternoon. I am very excited because this is going to be his chance to go back into his career field. I have been praying for him since the day I knew that he was going to get an interview. He said that it really went well and he is confident about it. I hope he gets this job, God willing.
Please Lord, help me make my husband happy. Your will be done.

Just Slacking
Posted by Jojo at 1:59 PMI can't motivate myself to start working in the house while the baby is asleep. My heart says I need to clean the house at least a little bit but my mind says not to. What a day!
I guess hormones do that to you. I was a little upset with my husband last night. Maybe because I was tired. He asked me this morning if I was mad at him and why. I said I can not remember. Hahahahaha. He started acting like a monkey. I just laughed (at him and myself). Yeah, hormones do that to you.
Today, I am just slacking. I am the boss and the queen of the house. Who cares? I need to rest a bit. I did not sleep well last night.

What happened?
Posted by Jojo at 1:34 AMI am not sure what happened today. I was just taking my time and taking care of my kids, a 2 year old and a month old infant, when my feelings got messed up. I started crying and feeling down. I felt like I was alone and wished I could do something more other than staying in the house. I have no idea what did it. Am I just stressed out? or do I have the baby blues symptoms?
My husband, thank goodness, has patience and understands me. He knew what I was going through probably and asked me if I needed time alone. Of course, I took the opportunity and said yes. He brought the kids to my mother-in-law's house and spent time there with family. I was left alone in the house and tried to enjoy the quiet time. It was nice. It renewed something which I still do not know what. I took a nap on the couch and then took a nice hot shower afterward. It felt great.
I hope it won't happen again or at least not often. It is not good that I am feeling something that I can not explain. Well, I am still adjusting to a new life which is a mother of two...challenging actually.

Plans...
Posted by Jojo at 8:38 PMHere are the things in my mind recently:
My son and I in the Philippines - When I visit my family with my son who has a nut allergy, is it going to be hard for my son to eat there? If he'd have a bad allergic reaction, do the hospitals in the city know how to deal with it? Nut allergy is so rare in the Philippines, I believe. I only heard of it here in US.

It is getting warm!
Posted by Jojo at 1:13 AMI am excited. Summer is coming and it is getting warm. It is awesome to wear shorts again. It has been a while.
One night, my husband, my son and I decided to take a walk and have some fresh air. It was fun because the air was so comfortable and soothing. I loved it. That is one of the things that I love about Colorado. It just smells like paradise.
After living in Colorado for 2 years, I am kinda missing the Maui life. In Maui, we could go out anytime because it was always humid in there. I miss the beach date with my husband every afternoon. It was fun just walking along the shore or swimming in a salty water. We sometimes eat something and sit on the sand while watching the sunset. Living in Maui was one of the good experiences in my life. The only thing that I do not miss is the price of living.
So much about the Maui stuff, look at my little boy (bogoy) below. He has been wearing a lot of shorts recently. I love to see his little legs. He looks like a big boy already.
Yes...it is getting warm. I am looking forward to the weekends. We can go anywhere to have some family picnics. We can wear just shorts and comfortable flip flops. And we do not have to worry about bulky coats.
We can go to the park and watch the mountain beauty. We can go to the mountain again, maybe to Pikes Peak. We can go have a joy ride and watch the horizon. We can go to beautiful museums and see some cool thins.
Speaking of museums, I know a museum that is really cool but it is located in Orange, Texas. It's the Stark Museum of Art. This place will be in our list when we get the chance to visit the city of Orange in Texas during summer time. They focus on the art of the American West. They have different collections of Western Art including the "Shotgun Wedding" by Andy Anderson, a Colorado artist. It is funny. They also have American Indian Art, Decorative Arts, and Rare Books and Manuscripts.
This Museum has The Stark Foundation which I think is cool. They have grants and scholarship programs. After knowing this, the site is worth my visit. You should check it out, too.
I am sorry if I am writing a lot of things and they are everywhere. Maybe because I am too excited. I still need to make a list of what to do on the weekends so we do not forget. If we do not make that list, we might end up staying in the house, being a lazy bum, and miss the summer. That would not be good.

Get The Virus Out
Posted by Jojo at 1:16 AM
I got sick. I got a bad headache and a muscle pain last night. I was not sure what really happened. I do not think I had a fever but it sure felt like I had one. My husband feels sick tonight. He said he has a headache. I hope my son won't get it. It would be too horrible for him.
I wish we could just poop the virus out of us or shout it out of our system. That would be too easy, huh?
Something is in the air. The spring fever I guess.
