I was trying hard to earn money online so I joined a website called Amazon Mechanical Turk. It is a decent site that pays you to complete simple tasks like taking surveys, answer multiple choices for some school research, choose the best picture in the group for a photography site, etc. The tasks are called hits. The payment I had for each hit was between $.05 to $2.50. I did that for quiet some time and I earned more or less $40. I was pretty happy until I got a notification from Sprint Network.
I was not sure how or what happened but I received a text message stating that somebody was trying to change the information of my Sprint account online. The text message was asking me if I authorized the change. I was confused because I had not touched that account for years. I called Sprint and asked them what was going on and they said that somebody changed my address from Colorado to Atlanta, Georgia. I was shocked because I have never been to Atlanta. I told them to close my account online as soon as possible. Weeks later, I got a text message again stating that somebody was trying to add a line in my account and ordered a new cell phone. I called Sprint again and they confirmed. Again, a person from Atlanta tried to do it. Sprint was able to stop the transaction but I was still upset because somebody was able to get in my account even though I told them (Sprint) to close it.
Later I realized that while working as an Amazon Mechanical Turker, I gave out my phone number (maybe) and the network I was with. (Shame on me!!!) That person probably figured out how to use that simple information to get my pin to sign in online. Some hits in the Amazon Mechanical Turk actually asked for the IP Address as well. I am glad I never gave that out. I found out recently that some hackers can actually access your computer remotely with just your IP address. I learned that from the movie on Lifetime.
So friends...never give those information out to anyone. I learned my lesson. $40 is not worth it.

A Seminar For Me To Get Wealthy?
Posted by Jojo at 9:54 PMWhile I was scanning through my mail Thursday night, I saw the word "FREE" from the corner of my eye. I guess it was just my human instinct to see what the "free" was about, so I turned and picked the mail up. It said "Free MP3 Player" for the first 50 callers to book the seminar with the Online Trading guru. Still curious (because that's me), I opened the booklet and read what they had to offer. It said, there is no fee to pay and this is once in a lifetime.
I hear a lot of those promises on TV. The so-called Millionaire guru is going to guide you to financial freedom. Call the 1-800 number and change your life now. The master is going to help you step-by-step for you to earn money fast and you can work full time or part time anywhere you want or at home with your family. Don't waste your time, call now. Do they sound familiar to you? I hear those a lot because I sleep late most of the time. They usually come on at 10PM or later. It sounds too good to be true but I still give them a chance so I listen. I am glad I didn't fall into the hole though because after I read the reviews online, all I see are unhappy campers.
I don't want to tell you that all of them are scams. I think some people out there are really successful. Maybe they are just lucky or really really good. Some write articles or use Google Adwords to promote the products for commissions, some blog for Google Adsense and some do trade online successfully with the help of an Online Broker.
I opened that free seminar booklet and read it again. I thought maybe I should go and listen to what they have to say because I really want to earn extra money online. The seminar is all about Stock Trading though and I am not so sure if I am really interested in this field. So, I decided to toss it to the trash. Do you really make lots of profits with that? I was unsure so I just did not waste my time with it.

My Blogsvertise First Payment Proof
Posted by Jojo at 7:09 PMI know this is too late but it is better to be late than not posting it at all. I was paid by Blogsvertise for my hardwork and I could not be happier. My first payment was $39.00. I used some of the money to pay for my son's cute rolling back pack. I could not have bought it without the extra money I got from them. They were late in sending the payment but it was okay. They paid me maybe 7 days later.
Below is the proof of the payment they sent to me.

A New Adgitizer
Posted by Jojo at 5:00 PMI just joined Adgitize as a publisher. I still am not sure if it is worth the time but I will try it for a month. I hope the Adgitize apps won't distract my visitors or get the loading time of my blog pages painful.
Based on their FAQ, the more you click other blogs and the more you update your own blog, the more points you get. The points are then converted into cash. I hope it works.

Just sick
Posted by Jojo at 4:15 PMYes, I am sick. I got this headache and a runny nose. Yikes! I am just trying to entertain myself by reading some weird news like Jessica Simpson Breast Implants or watching some videos at pinoy 24 tv. I know, I am lame sometimes. I just visit sites just because. I just click and click and not even thinking until I spend my whole day in front of the computer.
My kids are asleep so it is really quite. All I can hear right now is the keyboard tapping while I am typing my post. I wish I knew something that could help me earn money online while bored. I know that blogging helps me with that but I want something that is more stable to help us with other bills.
I heard stuff like adsense revenue sharing. Do you really make money with that? What website pays you? How much do you earn a month? I read make money online articles a lot but they just have you buy stuff but don't know if they work.
I was actually searching in Ebay last night for an established site for sale that gives a passive income. They were some cheap ones but I still don't know if I should trust them or if I should spend my money for something that I am not sure about.
Well...I guess I have to go and take some rest. I still have to work tomorrow.

Extra Monies
Posted by Jojo at 11:30 AMI love getting extra bucks from this blog. I love knowing that I have some pending extra cash to withdraw. I love telling my husband that I have money to pay for my make-up or new clothes or shoes. Because of those reasons, I went back to writing again with my other blog. I ignored it for two months because I got lazy. That was a huge mistake.
Well, here is my other blog: The Sweet Science of Life.

What is colocation?
Posted by Jojo at 4:20 PMDo you have a small business? Are you interested in web hosting?
I really want to have a small online business of my own. I was just searching about web hosting and I got stuck with the word colocation.
What the h_ck is colocation? Sorry about that. Where I grew up, the word sounds really funny. So I went to my good friend Google. It said that Colocation is when a hosting service provider provides the housing and internet backbone, and the client provides the physical server. Okay, now it makes sense.
I also read about managed hosting. Very interesting, indeed. It would be nice to know what I should sell online soon. Until now, I don't have any idea. I am stuck again. Shouldn't I be thinking about that first before anything else? Okay, I admit. Like I said, I have no focus right now (read previous post).

Spending My Blog Money
Posted by Jojo at 10:38 PMI love it. I spent some of my blog bucks today. It feels so good. I wish I had more blogs you know but I just can't do it. I can't maintain more than one blog. This blog is enough for now.
Well, I hope you guys are not giving up and still blogging. Just so you know, I was able to buy myself a pair of sandals, a swimsuit for my little girl and some shorts for my little guy and me. Yeah! I bought them from my extra earnings.

Earning Money While At Home
Posted by Jojo at 1:09 PMHow do I make money online at home?
I really wonder what I could do to make money online so I can just stay at home with my kids. I mean blogging is good because I can earn some extra bucks but it is not enough for me to completely quit my job. With this unemployment rising, it is not wise for me to just leave my job. I am one of those lucky people who still have the job. I am not going to waste that opportunity.
I know some people own multiple blogs and they earn money that way through Adsense. Is it really worth it? I am not sure how they spend their time with their hundreds of blogs. I've heard about unlimited web hosting so having multiple blog sites is probably not a problem. My only question is how do they divide their time to maintain their blogs.
I have kids to take care of and pay attention to so having multiple blogs is probably not a good idea. I can't even pay that much attention to this blog anymore. I post as much as I can but not as much as I used to.
I have some Facebook friends who have businesses online and I still have not gotten a chance to ask them what their businesses are. Hhmmmppp...I hope they'll share their secrets with me.
Do you have a successful business online that you'd like to share with me?

Colorado-based Amazon Associates
Posted by Jojo at 3:51 PMI am not really an active Amazon associate. I never got serious about being an affiliate. However, I got this email today and it caught my eyes.
Here it goes:
-------------------------------------
Dear Colorado-based Amazon Associate:
We are writing from the Amazon Associates Program to inform you that the Colorado government recently enacted a law to impose sales tax regulations on online retailers. The regulations are burdensome and no other state has similar rules. The new regulations do not require online retailers to collect sales tax. Instead, they are clearly intended to increase the compliance burden to a point where online retailers will be induced to "voluntarily" collect Colorado sales tax -- a course we won't take.
We and many others strongly opposed this legislation, known as HB 10-1193, but it was enacted anyway. Regrettably, as a result of the new law, we have decided to stop advertising through Associates based in Colorado. We plan to continue to sell to Colorado residents, however, and will advertise through other channels, including through Associates based in other states.
There is a right way for Colorado to pursue its revenue goals, but this new law is a wrong way. As we repeatedly communicated to Colorado legislators, including those who sponsored and supported the new law, we are not opposed to collecting sales tax within a constitutionally-permissible system applied even-handedly. The US Supreme Court has defined what would be constitutional, and if Colorado would repeal the current law or follow the constitutional approach to collection, we would welcome the opportunity to reinstate Colorado-based Associates.
You may express your views of Colorado's new law to members of the General Assembly and to Governor Ritter , who signed the bill.
Your Associates account has been closed as of March 8, 2010, and we will no longer pay advertising fees for customers you refer to Amazon.com after that date. Please be assured that all qualifying advertising fees earned prior to March 8, 2010, will be processed and paid in accordance with our regular payment schedule. Based on your account closure date of March 8, any final payments will be paid by May 31, 2010.
We have enjoyed working with you and other Colorado-based participants in the Amazon Associates Program, and wish you all the best in your future.
Best Regards,
The Amazon Associates Team
----------------------------
I am not really worried about it because I did not make money from being an Amazon affiliate. I just did not have time for it. I am just wondering about other people out there who are active Associates and are making serious money from Amazon. What are they going to do? It sucks that they (our lawmakers) passed this law.

Socialspark Advertiser Blogroll
Posted by Jojo at 7:09 PMWhat: Socialspark Sponsored Opps.
Qualication: Blog is a member of the advertiser's Blog Roll.
Question: What does the above (Qualification)mean?
My Answer: What that means is that you are qualified to post for the advertiser's opportunity. The specific advertiser maintains lists of blogs which suit it's needs and your blog has to be in the list.
Question: How do I know that I am member of the advertiser's Blog Roll?
My Answer: The QUAL box is green.
Am I right? Please let me know if it is wrong.

Ways To Make Money Online, Part II
Posted by Jojo at 12:30 AMBe careful in choosing sites to join to make money online. If they are promising a too good to be true payments then you need to think more before joining. There are a lot of scams out there and it is hard to tell which one is legitimate. The post that I am going to make is just my opinion and a product of research. I have not tried them yet. I am making a list that you can take a look at and check. Like I said above, be careful. Ask questions before you start.
Check the first five money making opportunities here.
6. Get paid to submit articles - Do you know stuffs that are worth to share and sell? If you do then I guess you can try submitting articles to sites that will pay you to do that. It must be an original one. Plagiarism is a no no. They pay you a percentage of the google adsense revenue in relation to the articles that you submitted or just sell it and website owners will buy it that will feed their needs. I have found sites that give you that kind of opportunity.
howtodothings.com
paintballtimes.com
associatedcontent.com
thearticlesense.com
constant-content.com
7. Get paid to be a secret shopper - I used to work at Longs Drugs Store and we got reviewed every week. 5 employees from our store would be chosen by a secret shopper to be reviewed. We just knew that we were reviewed a week later in our lunch room. If you like to shop then why not be a secret shopper and get paid. Just check you emails and watch for the opportunities.
Mysteryshop.org
Shadowshopper.com
Gapbuster.com
Baievaluators.com
Mysteryshop.com
Secretshopnet.com
Ssanet.com
Becomeashopper.com - for Australia & New Zealand
Secretshopper.com
8. Get Paid to Share Photos - If you have these wonderful pictures and you want to share them to people, why not get paid for it? Just upload your pictures to sites that pay you. Do you have the talent in photography? Try this opportunity. I found some sites that offer this opportunity.
Fotolia
BigStockPhoto
Shutterstock
Dreamstime
Spymedia
ShareAPic
9. Be a Virtual Assistant - Do you complete tasks efficiently and timely but you have to stay home for your kids? Have you heard about being a virtual assistant? I have not tried this before but I am pretty sure that I will search more about this when I have to stay home for my child in the future.
Check this site to get some more information and get trained - AssistU
Also check International Virtual Assistants Association - Ivaa
After you are trained, check these sites to get jobs: Guru, FreeAgent, Ratracerebellion, Msvas, Wahboom
Read this site also to get some more information when you get a chance.
10. Share you Expertise and Earn Money- Sell your professional capabilities online in the field of software, design. web & programming, legal, data entry or anything that you are an expert of. You get paid while you are doing that. Are you smart and hardworking? Check these sites: Elance, RentACoder, TechDirt, Logoworks, DesignOutPost.
If you have tried these sites before and has some comments about them, feel free to comment for the other readers to know. Thank You.

Ways To Make Money Online, Part I
Posted by Jojo at 11:22 PMI am making a list of ways to make money online. Some of them have been tested by myself. Others are a possible money-making opportunities. Beware from the scammers, though. If they are asking you money to start an opportunity then it is a possible scam. If they are promising you a too good to be true payments such as get $2,000 just to sign up, it is a definite red flag. Be careful. I know you are not dumb but some people are so naive about the scam thing online.
1. Blogging - This is tested and a lot of people are doing it right now. They blog for fun and at the same time for money. Please check this blog to get a list of sites where you can earn money while blogging.
2. GPT Click Sites - This is tested but slow earnings. I have made almost $20 in a month but your eyes would get crazy clicking at sites. You also get a lot of virus from doing this. I am not sure why but I guess there is just a lot of potential for you to meet the infected sites. Scams are everywhere so please check my other post.
3. GPT Take Surveys - I registered a lot of sites for this kind of opportunity but there are not that much surveys out there that I can qualify. It is not stable. You just wait until there is a survey plus you have to quality. It takes 10 or more minutes for you to finish one. One thing that I liked about this was I knew things before the media spread them on TV. I took a survey about movies one day and I learned that the Shrek III and Pirates of the Carribean "The Worlds End" movies would be coming out soon. It is fun but not that much money compared to blogging and clicking sites. Check out the sites listed below. I am not affiliated with them but I just thought I'd share the sites with you so you do not have to burn your eyes from searching.
Synovate
GlobalTestMarket
Mindfield Online
Ipsos
ZoomPanel
MySurveyToday
SurveySavvy
Valued Opinions
Choozz
Opinion Outpost
Lightspeed Panel
Clear Voice Surveys
Acop
For more survey sites, check this site.
4. GPT Read Emails - If you can handle a lot of emails to check and click, then this is a perfect opportunity for you. I have not tried this because I am too busy blogging. But, if you have more time than I do, try it once and see it for yourself. Htmail and InboxDollars give this opportunity.
5. Play Games and Get Paid - Play games like scrabble and bejeweled. You earn money while having fun. You have to be a good player, though. Try Yahoo Games and WorldWinner.
So, did you have fun learning the money-making ideas online? Grab the opportunity with caution and start earning money now.

GET-PAID-TO SCAMS
Posted by Jojo at 11:30 PMScams online are everywhere so be careful folks. Some sites will promise you to pay big money after clicking sites or reading their emails. If it sounds too good to be true, chances are it is too good to be true.
I have been there before. I joined a get-paid-to click site with a high payout and a high sign up bonus. I was so excited. I thought, that was a good opportunity for me to earn money while at home. It was not the case though. I found out that the site was a scam so no payout for me. I emailed the owner of the site and said that your site is a scam. After a while, I got a virus in my computer but was deleted right away by my anti-virus software. Thank goodness!

Get Paid To Click
Posted by Jojo at 10:22 PMHave you done this kind of money making online activity? If you'd ask me this- yes,I did this before. They really paid me. I was able to buy my purse out of that getting paid-to-click websites. They were just time consuming. You have to click a lot of websites so that you earn enough money. I am a working mom now so I do not think that this will work for me at this time. If you want to do this, be careful. Some sites are scams. Just check GPT Boycott for the scams.
Here is a list of paying sites that I found if you want to give it a try.

Blog Blog Blog
Posted by Jojo at 11:35 PMSo what is this new phenomena all about? I spoke with my online friend earlier and told me all about getting paid to blog. She said that it is kind of cool to say what you want to say and get paid for it. She told me about a friend that earned more than $600 just for sharing her thoughts. That is awesome...I thought. Wow! So how do we do this? (Blah blah blah and "Waaalaah!" $$$. Uhhmmmm. ) It is also cool because you have the opportunity to endorse the products that you like and share your thoughts about it. There are a lot of sites that help you find the advertisers that will pay just to say something about their products. Products that will tell about you.
Folks, what do you think of this money-making-online-trend? We will see what the new page shows for me.
