My Uncle in law used to own aerial photography business. It was called Phil’s Phlying Photos. Basically it was an excuse to write his plane off as a business expense. When he hit the state lottery he did not need the write off anymore and the aerial photography business went away. Now he needs something to write off his helicopter, plane and new Escalade.

He was not like new companies that offer services like aerial videography or aerial cinematography. As a matter of fact, he did not really offer photos. Nope… You had to take your own camera and he just piloted the plane for you. I have never been up with him, but I hear he has a steady hand so that your photographs would turn out great. No matter anymore though as the business is no more.

Luckily for us, there is no shortage of companies that offer aerial photography services. In times like these, I bet you can find some really good deals. I wonder if my husband would spring for a fly over of our renewal of vows he owes me after the stuff he is putting me through this year. I guess I will find out in October… I still can’t get over that he is snorkeling in Hawaii with whales and I am here in the cold place Colorado.

I know it is too late for this but it is better than never post about it at all. We had a good time trick-or-treating last week (until we dropped the digital camera and damaged it for good). My little girl wore a Penguin Costume while my son wore a Nascar outfit. The penguin costume was a hand-me-down. My son had it when he was one year old. My son's outfit was only $5 from Albertsons. I bought it because I thought he would only use it once so I'd rather buy the cheap one. So, I only spent $5 for their costumes this year. Yey!

A lot of people thought my penguin was so cute especially with the penguin feet. My little guy was just so content to trick-or-treat and seeing other kids. They loved it so much. They had fun and worked so hard for their candies.

When I was in High School, I learned about the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They were destroyed in August 1945 after the explosion of atomic bombs during the final stages of World War II. Look at the pictures below from the beginning till the end. The pictures will tell you a very powerful story. What has happened to the city of Hiroshima 65 years later? We learned about the destruction but know little about the progress people made during the past 64 years. Check it out.

This is the end of my PTO at work so I am enjoying every bit that's left. I was just surfing for something really interesting tonight like mailboxes. Yeah, completely random right? Well, while surfing through some mail boxes via online catalog, I saw a really interesting product. It is the H. Potter Barrel Roof Terrarium as shown in the picture below.

This product fits with my lifestyle. I had a plant in the house but it died because I forgot to water it. I know I suck at plants but the H. Potter Barrel Roof Terrarium sounds really cool. I learned that the plants inside the miniature garden will transpire moisture through their leaves, which then condenses on the glass, and flows back to the soil. It will create a 'rain effect' which then allows the terrarium to go for weeks without watering. I like that. Hmmmm...just thinking.

Going back to the mail box search, I did not see any interesting designs as of yet. I just thought maybe I'll just search again tomorrow night. Okay, I am done with mailbox now, I better go to bed.

I was talking to a customer on the phone. He was from Alabama and he said he loves his state. I said I've never been to Alabama and I would love to visit his state. He talked about how he loves fishing, etc. He then asked me where I was. I said, Colorado.

He said that he had never been to Colorado. I then started telling him what I love about Colorado. One of the things that I love about Colorado is the Pikes Peak, I said. He then told me that America has everything. We just don't know it. America has the beautiful lakes, beaches, mountains and others (I can't remember everything he said.) They are just in our own backyard. I agreed with him.

I was driving Westbound facing the Pikes Peak and I noticed the bright moon smiling at me. It was so beautiful. I could see the snow on the Pikes Peak as if I was in a beautiful painting. The traffic was slow. It felt like I was all alone with this thing in the sky. I was listening to a soft music from the radio while watching the full moon. I wished I was with my family enjoying the moment.



I was glad I brought my camera with me. I had to brighten it up a little bit so you could see the snow-covered Pikes Peak that I was talking about. Enjoy the view.

I received this email from my co-worker. I just thought that this is such a nice story to share. I hope you enjoyed the story as well as the pictures.
