Aerial Photography

My Uncle in law used to own aerial photography business. It was called Phil’s Phlying Photos. Basically it was an excuse to write his plane off as a business expense. When he hit the state lottery he did not need the write off anymore and the aerial photography business went away. Now he needs something to write off his helicopter, plane and new Escalade.

He was not like new companies that offer services like aerial videography or aerial cinematography. As a matter of fact, he did not really offer photos. Nope… You had to take your own camera and he just piloted the plane for you. I have never been up with him, but I hear he has a steady hand so that your photographs would turn out great. No matter anymore though as the business is no more.

Luckily for us, there is no shortage of companies that offer aerial photography services. In times like these, I bet you can find some really good deals. I wonder if my husband would spring for a fly over of our renewal of vows he owes me after the stuff he is putting me through this year. I guess I will find out in October… I still can’t get over that he is snorkeling in Hawaii with whales and I am here in the cold place Colorado.

Merry Christmas!

I love Christmas time. This is when my family gets together, we eat great food and remember the birth of Jesus Christ.

My husband is going to be home soon. My kids and I are going to pick him up at the airport this afternoon. I am very excited to see him. We miss him very much. We are just going to spend our Christmas eve at home with just us. Then, on Christmas day, "Santa" is coming so we better get up early.

Merry Christmas to all my friends and families and of course to my readers... have a wonderful holiday season.

Christmas Program

I am so excited. My 4-year old son is going to have a Christmas program at school tomorrow. I can't wait. I think they are going to sing Christmas songs on the stage. It would be very very cute. I am charging my batteries for my camera so I can take pictures and videos. I hope he won't get too scared on the stage. We will see.

Christmas Shopping Online

I hope I'll get the money from Amazon pretty soon (selling textbooks aren't the fastest). I would like to buy things for the kids and their cousins as soon as possible. It won't be too easy because I have to buy them from Amazon.com and then I have to wait for my orders to get shipped. That can probably take a very long time. The kids won't be happy if Santa is late. That won't be good. HHmmm...hmmm.

Cyber Monday Deals

I turned the TV on this morning just to start my Monday and I heard the news about Cyber Monday Deals. Hmmmppp...I guess this gives some people who did not shop on Black Friday a chance to get some great deals from the stores. I am one of those people who did not care about Black Friday. There was a lot of stuff going on here with my family recently so shopping was the very last thing in my mind.

I checked my email and again, I received some emails from big online stores reminding me of their Cyber Monday deals. I could not resist so I checked their online stores. One of the online stores I visited was http://www.globalsportsstore.com. They've got great deals with their sporting equipments. I really would love to get my own GPS device because I am so horrible with directions.

I went to http://www.globalsportsstore.com/categories/Garmin/ for the Garmin GPS and the price is actually pretty good. I have to talk to my husband and maybe he'll let me buy this one. I also love the Garmin watches(He is going to hate me...lol)

Thanksgiving

I know this is late but I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving celebration. My family and I went to Florence yesterday to celebrate the Thanksgiving day. It was wonderful. We had a lot of food. Our day was pretty good until my headache started. (Urggh)

I have a lot of things to be thankful for. I thank God for a wonderful husband who is always there for me. for the two beautiful kids we have, for our families and friends, for our house, for my husband's new opportunity, and lots of other things. I can't name them all here. I am just so happy to have them in my life.

What are the things that you are thankful for?

Affordable Halloween Costumes

I know it is too late for this but it is better than never post about it at all. We had a good time trick-or-treating last week (until we dropped the digital camera and damaged it for good). My little girl wore a Penguin Costume while my son wore a Nascar outfit. The penguin costume was a hand-me-down. My son had it when he was one year old. My son's outfit was only $5 from Albertsons. I bought it because I thought he would only use it once so I'd rather buy the cheap one. So, I only spent $5 for their costumes this year. Yey!

A lot of people thought my penguin was so cute especially with the penguin feet. My little guy was just so content to trick-or-treat and seeing other kids. They loved it so much. They had fun and worked so hard for their candies.

Friend's Birthday

Yesterday was a great day. I went to a birthday party. It was a surprise party for a good Filipina friend. There were a lot of Pinays in the party and it felt like I was in my hometown which was a good feeling. My friend was really surprised when she got into her house from their garage and she saw all of us waiting for her. I bet that was a great moment for her.

Here is a picture of all the Filipinas (except the one wearing sunglasses) celebrating with our friend. The one in red is the birthday girl.

Video: Miss World 2010 is USA!!!

My sentimental fave won the crown!!! Congratulations Alexandria Mills from Kentucky. She deserved it. She is very natural, fresh, and a classic beauty. She has the sexy body, too. My beautiful Czarina Gatbonton did not place but still proud of her. You are still the Filipinos' Miss World.

Here is a video that presents all 115 countries:

Had Fun

We had so much fun tonight. My little kids worked so hard during the trick-or-treat at church. It was a little cold so that probably made them tired so quickly. Their buckets were full of candies. What a night! It was great.

My daughter wore a penguin suit and my little boy was a race car driver. He loved it.

Birthday Gift Idea for a Girl Friend

Do you have a girl friend who is going to be celebrating her birthday soon? I do, that's why I have to go to the mall and get her a birthday gift. If you do not know what to get her yet, I have an idea to share with you. Go to Bath & Body Works!!!!

My husband and I went to Bath & Body Works last week and just right when we came in, one of their employees gave us coupons. They also have specials like Buy 3 Get 2 Free or Buy 2 Get 1 Free. Because I love their lotions a lot, I picked up five different kinds of lotions and I also took a cream. All six of the items only cost me $33.00. Without the coupon and specials, it would have cost about $64.50. That deal was basically 50% off. I was able to give my mother-in-law a bottle of lotion which she really liked.

The receipt from the purchase had a survey so I took the survey and they gave me a $10 coupon for my next purchase. I am going to their store again today so I can get my friend some stuff for her birthday. I will utilize their Buy 2 Get 1 free and then use the coupon. I will probably just spend $10 for the three items (maybe a lotion, a body scrub and a cream). I hope my friend will enjoy the gift.

It is a great feeling to be able to save big and at the same time get great products.

My Ballot

I was finally done filling the boxes I want with my blue pen. It was not too hard. I signed it, licked the envelope and then it will be sent to the mail tomorrow. I am glad I am able to exercise my right in this country- my right to vote.

Have you registered to vote yet? Let's clean the White House.

Son's Birthday

It is my son's birthday today. We did not plan anything big at all. I greeted him "Happy Birthday" this morning and he just kind of shrugged it off. He already had a little celebration at school and at his grandma's house so he thinks his birthday celebration is done. He already picked out his toys at the store. He picked big toy trucks and a car (fire truck, tow truck and a police cruiser). He really liked them.

My husband and I are planning to buy him some treats tonight. He loves ice cream and smoothies so that's what we will surprise him with. Oh, I love my son. He is growing so fast.

Good Luck Czarina!!!

The Bb. Pilipinas World Czarina Catherine Gatbonton is now competing in China for the Miss World 2010 title. I did not like this girl at first but she grew on me. She is really beautiful. I hope she will do well in this competition. She did not make the Beach Beauty fast track which really made me sad for days but I still have hopes for her to get the crown. I pray that she wins it all. She deserves it.

Good luck Czarina! Make the Filipinos around the world proud!

Trade Shows

Phil Long Expo Center is going to hold a Home and Landscaping Show in Colorado Springs this coming January 14th-16th 2011. I have never been to Phil Long Expo Center but they often have events in there. That place is very close to the mall so I always see their sign but just didn't get a chance to go in one of their shows. I know they had like a Wedding Type event and an Antique Show.

I wonder if they are going to have a trade show flooring or a trade show carpet in that event. It is going to be fun to see the designers' ideas and some colorful designs for the home. I love HGTV so that show is going to be like HGTV in person. I hope my husband or maybe my mother-in-law can go with me. I still have months to plan though.

Are each of the businesses going to have a logo canopy in the event? Just wondering...

Birthday and Wine

Yesterday was my husband's 34th birthday. I surprised him with a birthday card. I taped it in his car's steering wheel and he saw it right before he started his car. In the evening after his work, my kids and I surprised him with a small birthday cake. The cake was not very good but he said it is the thought that counts.

We had rotisserie chicken, vegetable salad, rice and corn for dinner. It was simple but we ate a lot. We had a bottle of wine as well. I did not drink that much but my husband drank the rest of the wine. I asked him why he needed to drink them all. He said wine relaxes him so I just let him. I thought, we're celebrating his birthday anyway.

My husband likes wine. He bought two bottles of them a week ago and they are all gone now. Maybe I should get him a wine glass rack and a wine furniture for his easy access.

Will it be a good idea? Mmmm...I am not sure. He may want to drink wine every night. I don't care if he drinks red wine often because it is good for the heart but doing it every night is something I am not sure about.

I love those hanging wine glass rack and bar glass racks but I don't have that much space in my kitchen. Yes it is a bummer. Maybe we can have our little bar downstairs someday so if we have to celebrate (like my big 3-0 in a few years) then we will have wine right away.

Happy birthday my love and I hope you had a great birthday.

Family Adventures

I love to go on family adventures either in Colorado or outside the state. Recently, my family missed the Colorado Balloon Classic because we went to Florida. No regrets though. We had fun in Florida and that was a rare opportunity for us to get free airline tickets.

Because I'd like to go somewhere in Colorado just to have some family fun, I went to check my local yellowpages book. It was hard because I guess I like to search online better than to scan a book. So, I visited local.com and did a local search for any events in my area. I actually found some decent ones where my kids could enjoy and they have dates as well.

I also found local restaurants that I never thought existed. Hmmm...great. Now, I have a new search tool. I wonder if they give reliable driving directions (because we got lost in Denver once using Google maps).

Multiple Sclerosis Charity

Some employees of the company I work for are very passionate about charities. They have activities every year that they hold to raise money. They then donate the money to the Charity they support. One of those charities that I always receive in my work email is the Multiple Sclerosis charity.

I really did not know what MS was so I was not paying attention to the emails. After some readings on my own about Ms Symptoms and also the Ms Diet, I then realized that this charity is worth the time and help.

If you have the time to read, please read about MS. Then, if you have some extra bucks, make sure you think about donating some to the MS Charity.

On Halloween Costumes

Halloween is about two months away. Time passes too quick. My son is going to turn four really soon, then we will be doing the trick or treat and then celebrate Christmas. Aaahhh...too fast.

Our son's costume last year was Thomas the Tank Engine. We bought it from Walmart. It was quite expensive I think for a costume but we bought it anyway so our son could participate on a trick or treat thingy with the neighbors' kids. It was really fun plus our son was so cute in it. I would not mind having him wear that costume again this year since it still fits him.

I was thinking about my daughter though. What should be the best costume for a one year old girl? I looked at some Bumbleebee Costumes online and they were just so cute. Have you seen them?

I also saw the Ladybug Costume as you can see below. It is so lovely. I like the red dress, the detachable red wings and a matching black antennae headpiece. My daughter would really look so adorable in it.

I know I am too early for this but I like planning sooner than later. Well, I hope you have some plans as well and have a great night.
