I am not sure how many visitors I get on this blog everyday but I am just happy that my Alexa Rank gets better and better everytime I see it. I have not dropped my EC these recent weeks because I have been too busy. I try to give my best to update this blog though because I don't want to lose my PR3. The lower the PR, the lesser opportunities I get if you know what I mean. Oh well, I better start visiting other sites too.

Blogs that do not have that much visitors need to know this. A blog needs a visitor and that is a fact. You won't earn anything from your ads if nobody gets a chance to click on them. So, you want readers but you do not know how to attract them. I would say that the best answer is hardwork.

My average pageviews in the last 5 days is 426. My blog is only a little bit over 2 months old and I am just so happy to know that I have that number of visitors. Let me share to you my top 5 referrers.

1. entrecard.com - Drop cards till you drop. You visit other blogs and drop your card into their widget until 300 drops.
2. images.google.com - You link an image into your keyword and people find you through that text link. You do not have to post that image itself.
3. google.com - The richer the keywords, the more visitors you will get.
4. linkreferral.com - Link referral is a great site to get a review of your blog.
5. blogger.com - I am not sure how this one works. Is it when a blogger user visit my blog?


I drop entrecards, leave comments to other blogs, write a lot of posts and review other sites. Hardwork pays off.

What is an Entrecard? This is a very unique site that helps bloggers get more traffic by advertising into others sites. All you have to do is visit sites and drop your card (it is like a business card) into their widget and once it is approved by the owners of those sites, your blog will be advertised in their sites for more exposure.



Entrecard has ec (credits) that they give to the members. There are three easy ways for you to earn credits:



1. when you visit other sites and drop your card into their widget

2. when other Entrecard members drop their cards into your widget

3. when you advertise somebody else's site into your widget



If you want to advertise your site into somebody else's widget, you need to pay them credits. The more credits you have, the more chances that you can advertise your site or blog for free. I suggest that you make credits first by visiting blogs and dropping your card into their widget before your advertise.

Where were you directed? You were directed to my blog, right? How did I do that?
:) Research. I was playing with HTMLs earlier and I found out that I can change some coding and put my blog url inside the code. You can actually make your own blog banner so easily.

This is a cool idea for leaving comments at a social networking sites such as Friendster and Myspace. You can just leave graphics to comment and when they click on that, they will be clicking into your blog. Isn't that cool? Let me know if you are interested to know. I will make another post later.

So you are stuck. You wanted to add a sitemap of your blog to Google but it was asking for a sitemap URL. You have searched to get that URL or to have a sitemap generated for your blog. You had no idea what the Sitemap URL would be. You searched and searched and nothing came up with the information that you needed.

You came to the right place. I've been there before. I found the right information for you so you do not have to research so much.

So, you already added your URL to Google and are ready to add a your sitemap. Here are the steps that you need to do:

-Click the 'Add' link under sitemap.
-Click the drop-down button and pick 'Add General Web Sitemap'.
-Google will ask you for your sitemap url.
-Just enter "atom.xml" on the space. (excluding quotation marks)
-Click "Add General Web Sitemap" button.
-Your done.

Are you using Feedburner feed? To check, click "Posts (Atom)" hyperlink at the bottom of your blog. If you are being redirected to a FEEDBURNER URL with your feed content, then you have a Feedburner feed.

For Feedburner Feeds, entering just "atom.xml" will give you warnings:

Line: 2 Invalid XML: too many tags - Too many tags describing this tag
Line: 2 Incorrect namespace - Your Sitemap or Sitemap index file doesn't properly declare the namespace.

To fix that, add: atom.xml?redirect=false instead of just atom.xml. For example, my sitemap URL is http://www.howto-livelovelife.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false. After that, click "Add General Web Sitemap" button. It should be okay now.

Do you know what Alexa is?

When I tried to join a pay per post site, they asked me what my Alexa Rank was. I had no idea what Alexa was. I thought it was just another name of a site that I needed to join which was not really the case.

Alexa is another search engine like google and yahoo. Alexa has its own rank and this rank means a number of times your blog was visited by a visitor with an Alexa toolbar. That is right. In order for the visit to count, the visitor should have an Alexa Toolbar.

So how do I increase my Alexa Rank?

1. I should encourage my friends to download that toolbar and then visit my blog.
2. I found this redirect URL, http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?www.howto-livelovelife.blogspot.com, from a "how to increase alexa rank" site. It says that it should help increase the rank by leaving that URL into a forum or a comment.
3. Then, join an auto surf or traffic sites like Trafficswarm to get traffic. This one might work temporarily but temporary hits are okay while I am learning.

I installed my Alexa Toolbar today and we will see what happens next. I will try those three things listed above. I will let you know when I get good results.

I do not know why I am crazy about Pagerank. He is very shy and plays hard to get. I even downloaded a google toolbar so that I can always see him. He has ups and downs when I visit other sites. What does a Technorati Authority do? How can it help your blog?

Technorati authority intrigued me these past days. I was reading other blogs and saw their Technorati Authority Badges. I did some research and found out that an authority means the number of blogs linked to your blog and it only lasts for 180 days.

That sounds interesting. So if you have the highest authority at Technorati, then you are the #1 blog. Woooo!!!

Recently, I have this problem pinging my blog in their site. Of course, if my blog is not pinged in their site, that means the content is going to be the same from the last ping. The new posts won't show up. The authority numbers won't be updated. I hope my email to technorati admin can help.

I found this cool site that helps you send traffic to your blog. Remember that the more traffic you have or the more readers you have on your blog, the higher your page rank is. How easy is it to click another websites and earn credits? Every credit means they will show your link on their site. I had started mine today and hopefully this is good. Just don't click the link with "CHEAT" on it. It is just a test to make sure that you are paying attention to what you are clicking. But if you are writing your blog, it does not really use your time so much. Just check back to the site every 20 seconds and click another link to earn more credits. There is really no harm in trying this engine. Maybe it will work for us, new bloggers.
