We love to use services but hate to receive bills, don't we? I received some bills tonight and have to write the checks so I can send them tomorrow. I hate sending them too late because I really want to avoid those silly late fees. Who likes late fees? How I wish I could win a million bucks from Albertson's Monopoly game. That would be great!!!

Oh Credit Cards...
Posted by Jojo at 9:32 PMMy husband and I really try to live cash only, but there are times, like this recent move where using credit cards has been a necessity. I really hate it when I see my account balance but at this time, there is nothing I can do.
Luckily, we have not had to apply for a credit card recently, although I think I did pick up one from Amazon to get $30 or 10% off my camera. We generally have a card or two that we use for bigger purchases, and do our best to pay off in a month or two; the exception being our Citi credit cards. That one always seems to carry a balance and despite our best efforts, that balance always goes up. We will be on a roll paying it off and then the cars will need brakes or tires, or my husband would put books and tuition on it, or any number of other things. We would lose our discipline a bit and live outside our means.
With my husband moving to Hawaii though, things have really gotten out of hand. We have even put a balance on one of our Chase credit cards that has not carried a balance other than zero in about five years. The credit bureaus and companies must be wondering what the heck is going on. We had done so well over the last several years keeping our credit scores up and our credit balances low.
As much as I do not like to use them, I can see where they really are of value to people. Needless to say though, if you can live on a cash only budget that should be your goal. If you cannot live cash only though, check out credit card reviews before you apply for a credit or charge card. With all the varieties out there I am sure you can find one that suits your needs.

Earn Rewards While You Shop?
Posted by Jojo at 8:43 PMI recently found a website that gives you cash back while you shop online. It is a loyalty rewards program where it is supposed to be simple and fun. This website is called Loyalese.
The owner of this website appears to be an affiliate of certain companies like Walmart, GAP, Macys, and maybe more and then share the commissions to the Loyalese members who has done their shopping through the site. I have not made my tour yet because I did not get a chance to register. If you are a member already, can you tell me more about this site? It would be nice to know because I am a huge fan of the ease of online shopping.
They have a Loyalese Facebook fan page as well. I better check that out and see what information I can find. Have a great Friday everyone and have a wonderful weekend.

Christmas Shopping Online
Posted by Jojo at 9:32 PMI hope I'll get the money from Amazon pretty soon (selling textbooks aren't the fastest). I would like to buy things for the kids and their cousins as soon as possible. It won't be too easy because I have to buy them from Amazon.com and then I have to wait for my orders to get shipped. That can probably take a very long time. The kids won't be happy if Santa is late. That won't be good. HHmmm...hmmm.

Boston Luxury Lofts
Posted by Jojo at 9:06 PMI really never wanted to live East of the Mississippi River, but with the economy the way it is, my husband may eventually have to start looking back East for employment. One city I would like to live in would be Boston. Like all things on the East coast, we are assuming Boston Real Estate will be way above our pay grade and we will be forced to rent one of the many available Boston Condos.
I really like the ideal of living in a loft overlooking the city, and seems like Boston Lofts would be readily available, except they are not really kid friendly. We would need something with a little bit of a yard as our kids love to play outside and run around. I guess as a parent you have to put the needs of your kids above the dreams of yourself. Sigh, to be young again... Just kidding.
Bushari Group Real Estate specializes in helping people find, buy and sell Boston Luxury Real Estate, but seriously, what real estate in Boston isn’t Luxury? Perhaps in the future we will be using them to help us find a piece of Boston Real Estate in our price range. Then again, I’m really kind of hoping he gets the job that could take us back to Maui.

Buy Gold
Posted by Jojo at 2:09 PMGold has been in the news recently for setting record highs. At the date of this posting it had a closing value of $1368.60 per ounce, about $65 off its five year high of $1424.30. With the value of the dollar dropping by the minute, gold is looking like it could even go higher in value in the coming months and years. This has many investors turning to gold for asset protection and growth.
There are several ways that you could choose to invest in gold. You can purchase and hold the gold coins and Gold Bullion in your safe deposit box or home safe, or now you can even have a portion of your IRA be held in gold, actually gold. This is not paper stock in a precious metals company, rather you get to have the actual physical gold on hand in your possession.
Imagine the comfort in these trying times of being able to hold onto something worth more than paper. For most of human history it seems every human culture has realized the value and the comfort holding this metal can bring. Imagine how much better you will be able to sleep at night knowing that the gold coins or Gold Bullion you have purchased, weather you invest it in your Gold IRA or not, will never be worth nothing. Not even the Grinch will be able to ruin this coming Holiday Season for you.
Are you ready to Buy Gold?

Debt and Unemployment
Posted by Jojo at 5:47 PMRecently, my husband became unemployed. My head is still in shock but we need to move on. We are looking for ways to lessen our monthly expenses like selling our time share points and possibly a car and refinancing our home mortgage. We are very weary of things like debt consolidation and credit counseling and we will only use them as a last resort. A friend of my husband got scammed by a credit counselor and it only made things worse.
It is because of scams like our friend got lured into that we highly encourage anyone who is looking to consolidate debt to do your research first. Make sure the person offering you credit counseling is registered with the Better Business Bureau or at least a known and reputable entity in the state they claim to be operating in. Use debt consolidation as a last resort and look at ways to cut your expenses first (it is amazing how fast eating out, brand name sodas and premium TV packages can be cut to help you meet a monthly budget).
In hard financial times it is important to look at what can be sacrificed before we can assume our lifestyle can continue as it was before the hard financial times hit. Realizing that sacrifices need to be made and taking the time to make them is the best thing you can do before looking for an easy way out.

Bad Contractor
Posted by Jojo at 9:43 PMDo you have any horror stories that you can share about a cable contractor or any kind of contractors that you have hired and did a very crappy job? Did it cost you a lot of money? My mother-in-law and I just recently talked about how important it is to do a lot of research, read reviews and talk to friends before hiring a contractor. I just thought I'd make a post about it.
A contractor that sells cheaper service does not always mean it will save you money. I work in an insurance company so I hear horror stories often. It is disheartening to hear that some people would lose a home from fire because of an electrical wiring poorly done by an electrical contractor. Do you see what I am talking about? It is very important that you do your homework before hiring somebody. Make sure you check if they have insurance and warranties.
Another situation would be if you are a small business owner and you have a building that needs a cabling installation done, make sure you just don't hire a contractor just because. Be smart. Choose the best installers out there to protect your investment.
Disclaimer: I am not an expert in this kind of stuff but I have heard real stories.

Preparation for an Interview
Posted by Jojo at 9:21 AMDo you have some interview skills and techniques?
I am not going into an interview. I hope not in years. I just want to share my experience with you. A lot of people lost their jobs and so there are a lot of competitions in the market. It is hard to land a job these days.
Whilst I was looking for a new job 3 years ago, I was also researching about how to prepare for an interview. An interview is very crucial. That is how the potential employer knows how sincere you are for the job. So, I read for tips, possible questions and better answers for the questions. I made notes and studied.
On the day of the interview, I was nervous but confident. I let them know that I was really interested. I was all smile and very positive. When she asked me questions, I was speaking naturally and from the heart. I also made sure I spoke to her with eye-to-eye contact. She then offered me the job and explained to me the benefits of being their employee. It was one of the best moments for me. I was so thrilled.
I do not interview candidates nor do I have a great interviewing guide but I just want to share the things I experienced. What is your field? Research, find it, study, prepare and you'll succeed.

A Seminar For Me To Get Wealthy?
Posted by Jojo at 9:54 PMWhile I was scanning through my mail Thursday night, I saw the word "FREE" from the corner of my eye. I guess it was just my human instinct to see what the "free" was about, so I turned and picked the mail up. It said "Free MP3 Player" for the first 50 callers to book the seminar with the Online Trading guru. Still curious (because that's me), I opened the booklet and read what they had to offer. It said, there is no fee to pay and this is once in a lifetime.
I hear a lot of those promises on TV. The so-called Millionaire guru is going to guide you to financial freedom. Call the 1-800 number and change your life now. The master is going to help you step-by-step for you to earn money fast and you can work full time or part time anywhere you want or at home with your family. Don't waste your time, call now. Do they sound familiar to you? I hear those a lot because I sleep late most of the time. They usually come on at 10PM or later. It sounds too good to be true but I still give them a chance so I listen. I am glad I didn't fall into the hole though because after I read the reviews online, all I see are unhappy campers.
I don't want to tell you that all of them are scams. I think some people out there are really successful. Maybe they are just lucky or really really good. Some write articles or use Google Adwords to promote the products for commissions, some blog for Google Adsense and some do trade online successfully with the help of an Online Broker.
I opened that free seminar booklet and read it again. I thought maybe I should go and listen to what they have to say because I really want to earn extra money online. The seminar is all about Stock Trading though and I am not so sure if I am really interested in this field. So, I decided to toss it to the trash. Do you really make lots of profits with that? I was unsure so I just did not waste my time with it.

My Blogsvertise First Payment Proof
Posted by Jojo at 7:09 PMI know this is too late but it is better to be late than not posting it at all. I was paid by Blogsvertise for my hardwork and I could not be happier. My first payment was $39.00. I used some of the money to pay for my son's cute rolling back pack. I could not have bought it without the extra money I got from them. They were late in sending the payment but it was okay. They paid me maybe 7 days later.
Below is the proof of the payment they sent to me.

On Cars and Insurance Cost
Posted by Jojo at 9:53 AMWhy is car insurance for women less expensive than men? I was wondering why they can't make it fair. Is the insurance industry picking on men? I got curious. I did a research about that and now it makes sense.
Men have more risk than women. It is based on numbers or statistics. For example, men typically have more expensive vehicles than women and/or men are more likely to have a DUI on their driving record than women. It is pretty amazing how they came up with their numbers.
I did compare car insurance quotes and I just don't know why some States have higher insurance costs. I really don't want to go to the individual State insurance policies. Why are they different? I don't understand.
Alright, just to let you know I have a crush on volvo c30. It looks pretty cool compared to some honda sedans out there. My neighbor has a Volvo and I just love looking at them. I am not a man who fancies expensive cars but I just like how some cars look. Maybe it is just me.
Okay everyone. Drive safely. Don't drink and drive.

A New Adgitizer
Posted by Jojo at 5:00 PMI just joined Adgitize as a publisher. I still am not sure if it is worth the time but I will try it for a month. I hope the Adgitize apps won't distract my visitors or get the loading time of my blog pages painful.
Based on their FAQ, the more you click other blogs and the more you update your own blog, the more points you get. The points are then converted into cash. I hope it works.

Business Card
Posted by Jojo at 4:48 PMI need to tell my husband where I put the business card of the customer care manager at a town-home subdivision where my in-law lives. I have been thinking about it since he asked for it and he still does not know where it is. I always forget to tell him when I am with him but remembers about it when he is not around. Isn't that weird? He needs the business card to give to my mother-in-law so she can follow up with the guy for the water damage in her home.
I like business cards because then I don't have to memorize names or phone numbers. If you have a business of your own, make sure you have business cards to give to people. Not only will it make your customers remember you and your business, it will also help your customers endorse your business to their friends.
If I start a new business, I will make sure I have a business card. There is a free business card background online that I really like. I hope, I can be able to use that background when I am ready for a business. I will just trust in God's plans for me.
Just sick
Posted by Jojo at 4:15 PMYes, I am sick. I got this headache and a runny nose. Yikes! I am just trying to entertain myself by reading some weird news like Jessica Simpson Breast Implants or watching some videos at pinoy 24 tv. I know, I am lame sometimes. I just visit sites just because. I just click and click and not even thinking until I spend my whole day in front of the computer.
My kids are asleep so it is really quite. All I can hear right now is the keyboard tapping while I am typing my post. I wish I knew something that could help me earn money online while bored. I know that blogging helps me with that but I want something that is more stable to help us with other bills.
I heard stuff like adsense revenue sharing. Do you really make money with that? What website pays you? How much do you earn a month? I read make money online articles a lot but they just have you buy stuff but don't know if they work.
I was actually searching in Ebay last night for an established site for sale that gives a passive income. They were some cheap ones but I still don't know if I should trust them or if I should spend my money for something that I am not sure about.
Well...I guess I have to go and take some rest. I still have to work tomorrow.

Extra Monies
Posted by Jojo at 11:30 AMI love getting extra bucks from this blog. I love knowing that I have some pending extra cash to withdraw. I love telling my husband that I have money to pay for my make-up or new clothes or shoes. Because of those reasons, I went back to writing again with my other blog. I ignored it for two months because I got lazy. That was a huge mistake.
Well, here is my other blog: The Sweet Science of Life.

What is colocation?
Posted by Jojo at 4:20 PMDo you have a small business? Are you interested in web hosting?
I really want to have a small online business of my own. I was just searching about web hosting and I got stuck with the word colocation.
What the h_ck is colocation? Sorry about that. Where I grew up, the word sounds really funny. So I went to my good friend Google. It said that Colocation is when a hosting service provider provides the housing and internet backbone, and the client provides the physical server. Okay, now it makes sense.
I also read about managed hosting. Very interesting, indeed. It would be nice to know what I should sell online soon. Until now, I don't have any idea. I am stuck again. Shouldn't I be thinking about that first before anything else? Okay, I admit. Like I said, I have no focus right now (read previous post).

Spending My Blog Money
Posted by Jojo at 10:38 PMI love it. I spent some of my blog bucks today. It feels so good. I wish I had more blogs you know but I just can't do it. I can't maintain more than one blog. This blog is enough for now.
Well, I hope you guys are not giving up and still blogging. Just so you know, I was able to buy myself a pair of sandals, a swimsuit for my little girl and some shorts for my little guy and me. Yeah! I bought them from my extra earnings.

Squidoo Surprised Me Today
Posted by Jojo at 11:37 PM
Wow...Squidoo deposited some money to my Paypal so I was really surprised. The lens that I made last year made me some money. I completely forgot about it until today when I saw the company Squidoo that sent it.
I know that a lot of people are really successful with Squidoo. I learned it from the Bum Marketing lessons. I heard that some of them earn at least $250 from just one lens once a month. If you are really good with keywords and stuff then it will be more. If you write more than one lens, then you get the idea. You'll have lots of monies.
If you don't know what Squidoo is about, maybe you should read some of Pot Pie Girl's post @ http://www.potpiegirl.com. I like her tutorials.
I guess I need to write more lenses.
Here is my Lens that made me money http://www.squidoo.com/eczemacreamforbabies. If you are a good writer, go ahead and register.

Can You Imagine
Posted by Jojo at 9:58 PMI was just watching the show "The Mentalist" and the last scene that they had was that this guy received a check worth $500,000.00 from his employer through the help of the FBI.
I asked my husband and he started dreaming.
